Each year, in early December, thousands of Gray and humpback whales make their way from the cold waters of Alaska to the warm, protected lagoons of the Baja California Peninsula.
The magnificent humpback whale arrives in Mexican waters to breed, and—true to its nature—put on an unforgettable show. One of nature’s greatest spectacles awaits: the breathtaking vertical breach. With its 40-ton body and massive tail, the humpback seems to defy gravity, leaping high above the ocean surface in a powerful, awe-inspiring display that can last up to 30 seconds.
During the tour, you’ll also have the rare chance to approach Gray whales by boat—sometimes close enough to photograph them up close, and with a bit of luck, even to touch them. It’s an unforgettable moment of connection with nature.
While observing the Gray whales, you may also encounter playful dolphins, sea lions, marine turtles, and thousands of seabirds soaring above the waves.
It’s more than a journey—it’s a once-in-a-lifetime wildlife experience.
