“Great civilizations of Mexico” – a unique opportunity to approach the ancient cultures, to Pre-Columbian Mexico to the Aztec, Olmec and Maya civilizations. This program will introduce you to the many of these civilizations and will know many of the monuments declared by UNESCO as Cultural Heritage of Humanity. As well as natural reserves also declared a World Heritage Site. At the same time you will discover an authentic Mexico, know its traditions and legends and also its regional and national dishes. Each region you visit is unique and different from the others. An unrepeatable and intesa experience!

Description of the Itinerary

CIVILIZATIONS OF MEXICO

Day 1. Arrival to Mexico City

Transfer from the airport to the hotel (4 *)

Day 2. City tour + Teotihuacán

Breakfast. Excursion through the center of the city, the Zócalo – political center of the country, the Cathedral, the National Palace and the famous murals created by the artist Diego Rivera. We will also cross the beautiful Av. Paseo de la Reforma – famous for the large number of monuments and memorials in its path. After the city tour, you will discover the city where men become Gods – Teotihuacán – where you will witness the archeological beauty and where you can climb the Pyramid of the Sun and the Moon. It’s an all day tour. Food and drinks not included.

Day 3 Mexico – Puebla – Veracruz

Departure to Puebla. Legend has it that the angels told a bishop the location of the new city … The City of Angels. We begin the cultural visit with the majestic temple of Santa Maria Tonanzintla, decorated by indigenous hands. Upon arrival in Puebla we visit the Historic Center, the Chapel of the Rosary and the Cathedral (Cultural Heritage of Humanity). Houses and churches are decorated with talavera. The landscape surrounded by mountains and volcanoes makes this city a paradise for those who like unequaled and unrepeatable images. Now that if its is the gastronomy, Puebla is the gastronomic capital of the country so do not miss the opportunity to try the “Mole Poblano” or the delicious “chiles en Nogada”. After lunch, we will go to the most important port of the country

Day 4. Veracruz – Villahermosa / park-museum La Venta – Palenque

After breakfast we will head to the fertile state of Tabasco where bananas, mangoes, cocoa, oranges, avocados and other fruit delicacies are grown. You will visit the only open-air museum “La Venta”, where you will find the most extensive collection of Olmec monuments, the Olmec Giant Heads with black features – one of the greatest mysteries of this ancient civilization in America. Following the program we will go to the city of Palenque where we will spend the night in a hotel of 4 *

Day 5. Palenque – Yaxilan – Waterfalls Misol-Ha – Palenque

Breakfast. Very early departure from the hotel. On the banks of the Usumacinta river located far from the prying eyes is the city of Yaxilán. The only way to get to this place is by boat on the river which makes the trip especially fascinating. In the ancient city you will be surprised with scenes of rituals, murals, stelae, you will see the statue of the old Regidor sitting on a throne between the impassive jungle. You will appreciate the beauty of the unspoilt nature that will surround you during our tour, and enjoy the company of howler monkeys and variety of species of wonderful birds. Then you will go to tel. Overnight in hotel of 4 *.

Day 6. Palenque – Gulf of Mexico – Campeche

The ruins of Palenque are considered an important Maya archaeological site. The ancient city is situated in the heart of the forest at the top of the hills. Next to a stream, in the morning, the ruins are under the thick fog, where you can hear the roar of a jaguar and howls of howler monkeys. The combination of nature and ancient ruins give this place a special energy. You will hear some of the legends and traditions of the city. Then we will take the road to Campeche where you can walk between colonial streets and you can admire the fort that resisted multiple attacks of pirates.

Day 7. Campeche – Uxmal – Mérida

Breakfast. Departure to Uxmal “The city built 3 times” You will meet the Pyramid of the Fortuneteller, the quadrangle of the nuns, the governor’s palace and the court of the ball game. Time for lunch on your own. Arrival to the City of Merida “The White City”, walk along the Paseo Montejo, monument to the Homeland, the main square, the Cathedral and the Government Palace. Overnight in hotel of 4 *

Day 8. Mérida – Chichen Itzá – Cenote Ik-Kil – Cancún / Riviera Maya

Breakfast, Departure to Chichen Itza, the most important and imposing Maya archaeological site. Declared by UNESCO Cultural Heritage of Humanity and one of the new Seven Wonders of the World. There you will discover how advanced was the astronomical knowledge that this incredible civilization had. You will visit the Pyramid known as “el Castillo”. The Temple of Kukulcan, the largest ball court in all of Mesoamerica, the temple of the skulls, the Temple of the Jaguar, the Temple of the Warriors and the Observatory. Further on you will take the path to Cenote Ik-Kil where you can swim and refresh in its crystal clear waters. This cenote is considered the most boenito of the Peninsula. We will continue our way to Cancun and / or Riviera Maya according to your hotel reservation. QUOTATION ON REQUEST
