Day 2 TEOTIHUACAN HOT AIR BALLOON FLIGHT + CITY TOUR 6 hours
Early in the morning, around 5.30 am, you’ll go to the mysterious Teotihuacan, a cult center of the ancient Indians, striking in its scale and grandeur of buildings. Teotihuacan is “the place where the gods are born.” You’ve a unique opportunity to see this place from a bird’s eye view. A hot air balloon flight over the archaeological zone is an unforgettable experience!
After viewing from above, you’ll have a chance to see it from the inside. You’ll be able to see the pyramids of the Moon and the Sun up close, walk along the Road of the Dead, which the ancient Aztecs walked. You’ll learn many legends associated with the construction of the ancient city and its desolation, about what knowledge of astronomy and astrology they had and how this is reflected in the construction of buildings. Day 4 SAN MIGUEL DEL ALLENDE – GUANAJUATO 80 KM
After breakfast at 08.30 am Transfer to the colonial city of Guanajuato, whose name is translated from the language of local Indians as “hilly place of frogs”.
Sightseeing tour of the city of Guanajuato, which is also called the “city of lovers”, here is The Alley of the Kiss, which gets its name from the narrow passage: two opposite balconies are separated from each other by a distance of only 69 centimeters. According to legend, a wealthy family lived on this street, and their daughter fell in love with an ordinary miner. They were forbidden to see each other, but the miner rented a room opposite, and the lovers secretly exchanged kisses from these balconies.
You’ll also visit the Museum of Mummies – this is the only museum in the world that stores the bodies of people mummified naturally. Researchers believe that the mineral composition of the soil and the dry atmosphere created ideal conditions for mummification (open every day except Monday). Day 6 MERIDA – CHICHEN ITZA (121 km) – CENOTE SUITUN – CANCUN (190 km). 2.5 hours approx.
After breakfast you’ll go to Chichen Itza. This ancient city is one of the New Seven Wonders of the World and is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Pyramid of Kukulkan, the Temple of the Warriors, the world’s largest ball court Pok-ta-Pok, the Temple of the Jaguars, the Observatory and other buildings of the city will appear before you and amaze you with their grandeur.
