Day 1. Mexico City.

Meeting at the Airport with a Mexican driver. Transfer and hotel accommodation. Free evening.

Day 2. Mexico City – Teotihuacan – Basilica (about 8 hours).

At 08.30 you will have a city tour, which includes a tour to Zocalo Square and the Cathedral – the oldest in Latin America, the Presidential Palace with murals by the famous Mexican artist Diego Rivera. Then you will go to the “city where people become gods” – Teotihuacan. It is believed that the place was not chosen by chance by the ancient builders, but constructed on the energy centers of the earth, and climbing to the top of the pyramids you can recharge with positive energy. During the tour, you will also visit the Basilica of the Virgin of Guadeloupe (patron saint of Mexico).
Return to the hotel.

Day 3. Mexico City – Puebla (130 km) – Cholula (20 km) – Puebla.

According to legend, angels appeared to one bishop, indicating the location of the future city. A picturesque road goes to the “City of Angels”, guarded by two volcanoes Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl. The city itself will amaze you with its magnificent colonial architecture, and historical monuments, including the Rosario Chapel, the monastery of Santo Domingo, and the City Cathedral, protected by UNESCO.
Churches and houses decorated with Talavera ceramic tiles, and the landscapes of the surrounding mountains and volcanoes make this city a dream for lovers of beautiful photos and ancient architecture. But if your main weakness is the cuisine, then the “gastronomic capital of Mexico” will not disappoint you. Be sure to try the mole poblano sauce, which combines the taste of chocolate and hot chili peppers, as well as the famous stuffed peppers – chiles en nogada.
In the second part of the tour, you will go to Cholula, a former Indian city famous for the Toltec pyramid, which is considered one of the largest pyramids in the world. At the top of the pyramid is the Church of the Blessed Virgin. It is believed that the city of Cholula was once an important political and ceremonial center of Mesoamerica of the classical period, it was like a mirror image of Teotihuacan those days. Day 4. Puebla – Catemaco (411 km).

Among the tropical forests that cover the Sierra de los Tuxtlas mountains in the state of Veracruz, Catemaco is located – a mysterious town filled with mysticism and unique charm. Catemaco is a city of wizards and shamans. It gained worldwide fame due to the community of shamans from the Populuk people and their witch practice, which is an important component of regional culture and the reason for calling Catemaco the Mecca of Mexican wizards and witches. Every year, Catemaco is visited by a huge number of tourists who believe in the inexplicable abilities, but also visitors are attracted by beautiful landscapes with rich vegetation, and a variety of tourist attractions. There “Medicine Man” with Sean Connery in the main role and Mel Gibson’s “Apocalypto” were filmed.

Day 5 Catemaco – Villahermosa / Park Museum “La Venta” (308 km) – Palenque (145 km).

Early in the morning departure to another colonial city of Villahermosa, located in the state of Tabasco. The road to the city goes through fields where avocados, oranges, mangoes, and other exotic crops grow. On this day, a visit to the largest open-air museum is planned. A visit to the La Venta Museum Park, which is one of the largest open-air museums in Latin America and has a unique collection of sculptures, cult objects, and monolithic columns from the ancient Olmec civilization that existed in 1300 -200 BC.
Transfer to Palenque. Accommodation in the hotel.

Day 6. Palenque – waterfall – Campeche (365 km).

The ruins of Palenque are considered one of the most important Maya archaeological sites in Mexico. The ancient city is located in the jungle, in the early morning the ruins are wrapped in thick fog, and you can often hear the roar of a jaguar or a howling monkey. The combination of nature and ancient ruins gives this place a special energy. After the tour, transfer to the city of Campeche. You will walk along the narrow colonial streets, and see the real fortress walls that have withstood numerous pirate attacks.

Day 7. Campeche – Uxmal (160 km) – Merida (85 km).

After breakfast, depart to another Mayan city – Uxmal. According to the legend, the main pyramid of the Wizard was built in one night, and the city is inhabited by forest spirits – sushi. Later, you will enter the world of the Spanish aristocrats by visiting the old mansion (hacienda) that has been turned into a museum. Transfer to the capital of the state of Yucatan – Merida, which is also called the White City, thanks to the old houses made of white limestone in the colonial style. Accommodation in Merida.

Day 8. Merida – Chichen Itza (130 km) – Cenote – Temazcal – Cancun/Riviera Maya (220-280 km).

Today it is planned to visit the New Seventh Wonder of the World – Chichen Itza, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Buildings in the ancient city are subject to strict mathematical and astronomical calculations. On the day of the spring and autumn equinoxes on March 20 and September 20, shadow and light form an image of a thirty-seven-meter snake descending as the sun moves to the foot of the main pyramid of Kukulkan. After the tour, you will swim in a crystal clear karst lake or cenote, which the ancient Mayans considered sacred. The culmination of the tour will be Temazcal – an Indian ritual that has survived to this day and is conducted by a shaman. You will participate in a ritual of purification and spiritual rebirth in the “house of hot stones” filled with the aroma of exotic herbs.
